Regarding Test Procedures

 

When will test takers receive announcement emails?

Emails are sent to test takers at three stages:

  1. Upon registering the test-taker's email address: Notification of the access code (The access code is sent each time the email address is entered).
  2. After grading is complete: Notification of the test result.
  3. In case of a test retake (for instance, if the grading couldn't be completed due to audio issues etc.).

Additionally, a registration confirmation email is sent to email addresses uploaded in the test taker list.

 

How long can I view my test results?

Test results can be viewed from the completion of the test until one year from the end of the provided period. (Example: If the testing period is from April 1, 2021, to April 30, 2021, you can view the results from the completion date until April 30, 2022.)

 

Can I use the email address registered for RareJob English Conversation?

Yes, you can use your RareJob email address. However, please note that the information from “RareJob English Conversation” and “PROGOS (AI-powered assessment version)” are not linked.

 

 

Regarding the Test


What CEFR level should I aim for?

The recommended level for managers in departments where English is used is B2 or higher, and for employees in the same department, B1 or higher.

 

What are the recommended test conditions?

Please refer to the recommended environment for taking the PROGOS test here.

 

Am I allowed to take notes during the test?

You are allowed to take notes during the test. However, copying, photographing, recording, screen capturing, or any similar actions related to the test content are strictly prohibited.

 

How is the AI automatic grading done?

It is done using our proprietary method combining speech recognition technology and AI-powered grading.

 

Is there any material to review the test format in advance?

The PROGOS test is designed to measure levels from beginner to advanced, with questions and audio all in English. If you are a beginner, reviewing the sample questions beforehand will help ensure a smoother test experience.
Since the test cannot be graded if no speech is made, please try to speak as actively as possible. You can rely on the words you hear to answer the questions or use the context of the questions to guide your responses.

 

When can I check my results after completing the test?

You can check your results as soon as a few minutes after completing the test.

 

Are there any additional notes regarding grading?

Grading may not be accurate in the following cases:

  • Silent responses
  • Responses in languages other than English
  • Responses irrelevant to the question
  • Any response not aligned with the context of the test

 

Regarding Errors

 

What should I do if I need to retake the test due to a malfunction?

If the test is interrupted, return to your My Page, click the "Start Test" button for the relevant test, and you can resume from the first question of the interrupted section.

 

Can I retake the test if I couldn’t complete it due to issues or malfunctions?

In principle, retakes are not allowed. However, if the malfunction is recognized as being on the provider’s side, a retake will be arranged, and the testing period may be extended in this case.

 

Can my testing period be extended if there was an issue?

Testing periods cannot be extended. Please ensure you resolve any errors during the designated testing period and aim to take the test as early as possible within the available period.
